Hi I have a USB headset and mic that I would like to use for monitoring. In the setup I can see it as an option for output but when I go to output Routing it does not appear as an option. Please provide some advice, directions, instructions?

The Configuration will vary depending if you are using a PC or a MAC computer, but the principle is the same: If you want to output both the main mix AND have headphone monitoring, you need a soundcard that has 4 distinct mono outputs (or 2 stereo outputs).

Now, what you are trying to do is to use 2 soundcards (I'm guessing your computer's + the USB headset), which is more complicated.

If you are using a MAC, follow the following procedure to combine both card to be seen and used as one by Traktor:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1215?viewlocale=en_US

If you are under PC, you will need to install ASIO4all, which allow you to essentially do the same thing:

    www.asio4all.com

Keep in mind that combining soundcards may or may not work properly, but it's worth trying.

I have installed asio4all and I can select either the internal or the headphone exclusively but not use one for master and one for monitor. asio website indicates that the routing should be performed in the audio application.

Indeed, the configurations needs to be perfomred in Traktor in the end, but you first need to look in ASIO4all control panel to make sure that:

    a) both of your soundcards are seen

    b) that all outputs are available/enabled. If this is not the case, obviously, they will not be available in Traktor.

If everything seems fine , then in Traktor , you have to

    a) select ASIO4all as your soundcard. This will make the combined outputs available for settings...

    b) ...your master and monitoring outputs.

As I said previously, not all soundcards like to be combined for many reasons ( different chips, different default sample rate, etc).
