    You are generally better off to plugging your audio interface directly into your computer rather than via a hub, you don't won't to split up the bandwidth with such a device.

    Your controllers, mice and keyboard don't take up much bandwidth so it's generally fine to plug that stuff into a hub.

    Btw a powered hub and a non powered hub still splits up the bandwidth across the bus. Powering the hub just helps power your devices.

    My notebook has 2 two USB ports and I have X1 Z1 mouse USBssd and one day an F1.
    I need a hub.

    So for the best performance plug the Z1 directly in. The rest can go via the hub. If the X1 has an audio interface (not sure) I see the dilemma, in which case directly plug in the ASIO device that you mainly use for recording.

    I would avoid using the cheap ones. My 'miracle' device actually had interference between the separate switchable usb channels, and so I immediately threw it away and bought a TP-Link (UH-700) which is properly working. Not a chinese price but your equipment deserves it :)

    wow I just managed to reply to a post from 2012 But still don't buy cheap crappy devices chaps!
