USB port broken off..... sh*t quality NI!

    Yesterday on gig i realized that the orange square thingie inside the usb port on the back of the S4 had been broken off and stuck inside the usb cable. Since it is really tough to remove and brute force is required to remove it, I blame this on the design of the unit.

    Shouldn't a thread be closed when it's 'solved'? This seems more like NI wanted to prevent damage to their image :angry:

    Inside the port there are the naked 4 metal connectors, one of which broke off after it got somehow pushed to the ground by the usb cable when I plugged it in.

    Does anyone have experience with this, specifically with NI's reaction if you send in the S4? How long did it take? Did anyone find the usb port and has replaced it himself?

    Hey mate I just bought a Komplete Audio 6 interface second hand and was pretty pissed off when I learnt they had left out the detail that the usb port was broken exactly like you're describing. It still works, I just have to plug the cable in halfway. I've already opened a ticket with NI, in hope of getting it repaired, even if I have to pay for it. I'll let you know what happens, please do the same!
