Well done dude that is awesome! - works great
Is there any way that you can run two F1's in slicer mode at the same time? Seems that you can only have one configuration selected at a time in the Traktor controller manger preferences

    Thanks man..

Sure you can use two F1 without Problem. Just import the TSI twice and set the in and output to one and other to the other one.

It seems to only let you control one "slice" at a time - They both work but they act as one, for example you press a pad on one and that same pad lights up on the other, turn the encoder on one the led display changes to the same unit on the other only allowing to control one track at a time basically controlling one slice with two F1's
    .
I feel like I have it set up like you said "society" in that I have two set ups in the controller manager with the TSI imported twice and on one device labelled "F1 slicer" I have it set to have one F1 on the Input and the other F1 on the output, with the opposite set up on the second listed "F1 slicer". That is what I thought you were saying to do?

Are you running both in midi mode? I've been trying to get that to work for ages and have failed miserably. Would love to know your setup/config as well.

You need to set the F1 Midis directly to each controller in traktor on the input output.

I have never tried what Traktor does with the automatic port switching for F1, if you have more than one F1 active.
It would be good if Traktor changes the ports only for that device, where SHIFT+MIDI is pressed
    But I dont know exactly

That's typically what happens to me. When I hit SHIFT+MIDI on one F1, then SHIFT+F1 on the other, the first one kicks out of midi mode and back into HID.

hi i tried it again and i can use each f1 as own midi controller side by side. for the f1 freeze config you need to set the options to deck directly not as global and for each controller itself.

i set my f1 to Traktor F1 Kontrol - 3 and Traktor F1 Kontrol - 4 in Controller Editor in the Preferences.

    Ahhh yep that's it!

If you want them to work individually you must set the "device target" for each F1 to a specific deck that is not the same deck selected for the other F1 - rather than having it set to "focus" for both

can anyone figure out what's going on... or maybe its not meant to work..?
i got the slicer to work via my F1 - no probs
but when i shift +Midi back to using it to control my remix decks the LED's dont work..
when i hit a pad only that pad will light up all the rest are off..
its a pain as i have colour coded groups so i know what goes with what pad...
is this a fix with the editor or is it deeper..???

    Cheers
    BB

As long as you actually have a remix set loaded they should be lighting up if you followed the same instructions I did for the slicer mapping.
Could be a 2.7.0 bug with your system, or your F1 may have just had it?

Thanks Rainer for this mapping. In 2.7 attack seems to be off but with loop mode on it works nicely. I wonder if this could be automated, setting loop on the same range as the slices?

    Good idea.
I am on the road the next days and will prepare an extended version of the mapping when I'm back home!

can you explain how the loop function works. i've got weird things going on with my akiyama tempus controller - once the f1 is set up in slicer mode, pressing the econder triggers a loop for only as long as it is held down, and the loop functions on my mai controller stop working (i have to press 'active' twice to get it to work instead of once, and it simply doesn't turn on sometimes. i've tried re-mapping the button, but figure the issue must be deeper in the setup as that didn't help.

I've gone through the instructions in the Readme file...and when it says:
    4. Select F1 Slicer.tsi and click Open.
    5. Make sure that in list In-Port and list Out-Port your Kontrol F1 is selected.

My F1 isn't listed under the In-Port and Out-Port. It just says None.

Anyone else has had this problem?
