Use Kontrol S4 as Audio Interface to record audio

    Well, just for the heck of it, i put this computer mic (3.55) into a 1.4 trs adapter, into the back input on Channel D on the S4. I wanted to see the quality of it when skyping, but i couldnt seem to get a signal.
    What settings do i put it on?
    USB or Thru?
    Phono or Line?

    I dont want to buy a recording audio interface to record vocals into production softwares. I CAN use the S4 correct?
    and again, what settings?

    I can't tell you how to configure skype but I can tell you that you will need to set it on USB. It won't matter whether you have Phono or line selected as plugging the mic in takes over the input and automatically sets it to MIC input.

    In your audio panel on the pc is the s4 the default soundcard? but even then I have never tried to listen to audio coming in without traktor running.

    You would have to setup your skype so it receives the signal from the S4. I can do it inside Logic Pro but I have no idea how to route the sound from the S4 into Skype.
