Using 4 decks with 2 channel mixer and Audio 4 DJ

so im running traktor scratch through my mac with the audio 4 dj. i have the outs going to the ins of my 2 channel external mixer, a technics going into another one of the ins, and the outs of the mixer going to my PA. is there any way to map a midi to decks c and d and allow playback, sync, the whole shabang....any help will be awesome. any other questions that will help you answer mine just shoot

 

you can simply map traktor to let the midi controller control decks c&d

but you will need to use internal mixing to be able to hear all channels

i need to know if audio 4 can be outputed to a 5.1 logitec surround?

i have one and want to buy traktor but only if i can put the sound out to the surround.

the audio 4 is not a sourround soundcard

you will only be able to listen to it as a stereo signal

 

yea ive tried that, and nothing comes out while its playing. my output to my PA is going through the tape out on my 2 channel mixer, would that have anything to do with the problem why it wouldnt be working?

 

why do you use the tape out to go to your pa?


please tell me your routing and your cabling

 

ive got out 1 of the audio 4 going to in 1 of the mixer, out 2 going to in 2 of the mixer, then my technics going two in 2 of the audio 4

 

ok that way you'll be able to mix 2 channels in external mode

if you want to use 4 decks you have to change the routing to internal mixing and use outout b for cueing

 

If your 2ch mixer's xfader sends midi than you will be able to do what your asking
