A little late to the party, but I broke out my Maschine Mikro (mk 1) yesterday and tried the chord/scale/arp functions. When playing arps and holding down pads for more than about 5-10 seconds, the controller freezes up and I lose USB connectivity to it. Unplugging/re-plugging the Maschine doesn't fix the issue. I have to unplug it, close/restart the Maschine software to get the controller recognized again. This has been tested on multiple USB ports (2.0 and 3.0). Windows 7 is my OS and I'm on the latest Maschine and controller versions.

I haven't found any articles or posts on this so just wondering if anyone had seen it before.

You could try it with an active usb hub but first try to update usb drivers first. On the mainboard manufacturer website or direct from the chipset manufacturer site you can download them.

Any reason why this would happen, though? I used to use the note repeat function on the Mikro and never had any issues with it. I had the Mikro powered-on and in-use for about 4 hours total yesterday. The only time it had an issue was when I used the arp. Curious as to why.

I don't know where this comes from my guess is that it has to do with power issues.

Try reinstalling the firmware and software.
If that doesn't work, it's probably time for a new Maschine controller, man.
