Using B4 II as effect in PT 7 ?

I can't get B4 II to act as an effect plugin on an audio track in ProTools7. I can instantiate the plug on the audio track, but no sound will pass through.

My DP friend uses B4 (not II) and it shows up in DP as an audio effect and audio passes through just fine. In PT, B4 II has no separate effect, but is only listed in the "Instruments" folder of the channel's effect inserts.

What am I doing wrong?

I do this quite often for Leslie fx on guitars. I never have a problem. I do use it a little bit different. I set it up on a mono aux track, which makes it stereo. if your working with a stereo audio source then make a stereo aux track. send the output of your audio track into the input of the aux track and see if that works.
