For instance, In protools as my main DAW, can I use maschine to control drums in reason, using reason as a plugin within protools ?

All I want to know is if this is possible. I do not need instructions. Thanks ! :)

Knowing how Pro Tools is, Pro Tools completely takes over midi control. So you'd likely have to set up Reason on an Instrument track, and set the specific Reason module you want to control on that track from the instrument selection box at the top of instrument track. This should pass the midi notes through the instrument track to Reason. But that's assuming Maschine can even be used as a controller for Pro Tools. If it can't, you can likely use the midi output of Maschine and go to the midi in on your Pro Tools interface and control it that way!
