using mate tp2 setup tonight

got a gig tonight and im going to be using my tunes on my mates mbp with tp2 installed I have the same tp2 so I just wanted to know when I copy across my tunes to his laptop will all my cue point syncs etc etc be there

dont forget to copy your "collections" file from traktors directory onto his laptop as well...i think thats what also stores the cue points n all.correct me if im wrong .but remember to backup your buddies collection file first before overwriting it with yours

 

cue points, grid are saved in the mp3, BUT you'll need to re-analyse them to get the waveforms, and if you did beatgrid and haven't lock them you'll loose them..

What I suggest, is to copy your stuff on an external drive including the collection and transient/stripes so you don't loose anything, keep your playlists and you'll not scrap your buddy collection. Plenty thread about that in here explaining how to do it. Basically you copy the RootDir and all music folder as specified in the preferences. On your computer buddy you'll just need to change the Root Dir & Music Folder to point to your external drive. Easy & Safe
