Can't find any new info on this....

I have a Maschine and a Maschine MK2 and I want to use them both at the same time.

    Has anyone done this?

I have my version of Maschine 2.0 ready to install but before I do I wanted to discuss a couple of things.

1, Can you use 2 Maschines with one copy of Maschine 2?

2, If not, can you run the original software and the new software side by side? (as VST and Standalone)

3, If yes, do I need to make sure that they are installed in different locations etc so that the new install doesn't kill my old version?

4, I think you get 2 installs of the software for 2 computers so could you install 2 copies to different locations on the same computer to allow you to use 2 at once?

Any info would be great before I start messing up my registry!

    Cheers.

For anyone who may be interested....

I have Maschine 1.8 and Maschine 2 both installed and can run both programs (standalone) at once, each with its own controller and synced using midi yoke.

I have an MK1 and an MK2 controller, I think that if you had 2 of the same controller you may have issues specifying which program will use which piece of hardware.

Also only using 32bit atm as yoke doesn't work on 64 (I think)

Not tried as VST's yet but that is next.

interesting stuff, might be useful in a live situation. Try LoopBe1 for 64bit windows

I do not have two controllers, so cannot help with this practically (though I am hoping to try it soon). The manual implies that the two (or more) controllers need to be of different types though and yes, you can install 2.0 beside 1.8, but it seems you now know that anyway.

I just wanted to recommend loopMIDI as a 64-bit capable alternative to MIDI Yoke. I have found it to be more flexible and more stable. It is also free (and I have no affiliation with its creator). It just seemed like you wanted 64-bit compatibility.

    Thanks, will look into both.

Thinking about it I might actually have them both installed already...
