    Hey guys!

    Sorry if this has been answered before. If it has, please point me in the direction of the thread in question. I've tried searching, but didn't manage to find anything on it.

    My question is this: I've currently got a Faderfox (first model) with one busted knob, as well as a fully working UC-33. The Faderfox works brilliantly for controlling all the basic functions, but I'd like to set the UC-33 up too, to be able to control FX as well as other parameters. Can anyone give me a quick run through on how to use multiple midi controllers? I know I'll have to change channels or something, but not really too good at this stuff.

    Thanks in advance for your help!

    Cheers

    you can change the globalchannel of your uc33 by pressing "assign" and "channel" together. then just enter the channel you want (better not the same as your faderfox), and its done. now start teaching traktor how to work with your mdidcontroller (see traktor manual - chapters 9.5 & 11.6)

    for further information about programming your mididevices visit m-audio and faderfox hompage and get the manuals.

    Thanks for you thoughts man, but I tried that last night. I figured changing the global channel on the UC-33 would do the trick, but for some reason it didn't seem to make any difference. When using it, it still affected parameters also controlled by the Faderfox. :confused:

    Does Traktor have an "omni" mode (where it treats a MIDI message on any channel same as the next)? Away from the Traktor computer now so can't check...

    thats a point!

    @Willy Japan

    check your settings. if the faderfox mapping in traktor are set to omi, change it.

    Good call, Jeff! Coming to the rescue, once again! ;)
    The mappings are indeed set to omni. I'll try changing it tonight.

    I might be doing something wrong here, but I have no idea what. I've disabled omni in Traktor, and have changed the global channel on the UC-33 itself. Changing the global channel on it doesn't seem to make any difference though. When I use the "learn" function in midi setup in Traktor, the program still believes the bloody UC-33 is operating on channel 1 (same as the Faderfox)...
