Does anyone here like or need the option to control various parameters with one midi controller? If so, don't you think that it is important (if not vital) to able to set the range for each of these parameters individually?

On the Automation page you can use one CC to control multiple parameters by dragging the same IDs do different parameters. For example, cc1 to control both Volume Envelope Attack and Decay.

But this method doesn't allow you to asign different "From (%)" and "To (%)" values for the Volume Envelope Attack and Decay parameters. So this makes this method rather pointless. In almost all cases you need different "From (%)" and "To (%)" values when controlling various parameters using the same CC.

I have found a way round this problem by simply changing the CC number on the "Automation page" once I have assigned it to a parameter:- once the parameters are assigned to various CCs on the Automation page, I then change these CCs to one value (ie cc1) so that I can then control the various parameters using just the one CC (in this case cc1). I can still adjust the "From (%)" and "To (%)" values for each parameter even if it has the same CC assigned to it as each parameter is still listed individually with it's own ID.

But there's a probem...... when you reload your song you will find that you now can't make any further adjustments to these "From (%)" and "To (%)" values independently for each parameter if it has the same CC assigned to it, as each of these parameters are now listed under the same ID. Very helpful!

I can't understand why NI haven't correctly implemented the option to assign different "From (%)" and "To (%)" values for parameters that can be controlled with the same CC. Have NI not intended for Battery 3 to be able to allow multiple parameters to be controlled with one CC? If they haven't then that would be flippin daft!

After posting my above rant I have come to realise that the automation page is designed for use with controllers to take the place of using a mouse to edit inidividual parameters in sound design. I was trying to use this page to assign various parameters to the same CC, and then record midi automation into my sequencer. To do this I should just stick to the Modulation page.
