    Hi everyone,

So i recently saw the reviews for the Pioneer DJM-450 and looks great, but i don't plan on using rekordbox dj or rekordbox dvs right now and actually i did not noticed any compatibility with Traktor or other software. Since i plan on buying it, i would like to know if i can use the DJM-450 directly with traktor without having to carry along my Scratch A6 all the time.

If i actually can, how does it works (drivers to install, choosing the Soundcard, etc..)

    Thanks in advance

You can use TRAKTOR but not it's DVS function. The only thing you have to do is to route Traktor's output channels to the mixer when it's plugged in.

Can we plug Traktor into DJM-450 and map, say, CDJs in HID mode, or is that considered DVS functionality?

Thanks for the infomation. But i would rather like to use the soundcard in the djm-450 instead of carrying my card all the time. Does NI plan to certify it as a Scratch mixer soon as for the djm900NXS and 900NXS2 Since The djm450 is, as said, a smaller version of the 900Nxs2 (which is now certified for DVS by NI)

From Scampoo's answer i think YES, we can since HID is practically MIDI mode for CDJs. DVS involve using timecode signal which is not the case for HID as you connect it directly to your laptop via USB

Exactly. You can use HID of course. It has nothing to do with Timecode certification.

Are you able to Record From Traktor Pro using the DJM 450 MK2 Mixer?

I did buy the mixer last month and tried a couple of things. Thanks for your advice guys. :)

Yes, i tried using it with the X1 and routed the audio in the Audio settings section one by one. Quite easy actually just open the DJm-450 control pannel to know what Output/input Number, corresponds to what channel on the mixer and you should be done in less than 5 minutes

For Those who wants to record using DVS, you still have to get a sound card and connect one unused input from the soundcard to the master out of the mixer. then tell traktor it should record from this input in the Audio setting. Despite all the cables, i kinda like it, but if the mixer becomes Scratch certified in the future updates this would be awesome for beginners as well as those using the mixer outside the bedroom
