I am having an issue where if I double click on my mouse area to produce a value of 1 and this then triggers a random value for my very simple reverb.

The problem is that when I add the random value to the normal x output I am left with a value that is out of range for the diffuser delay.

It is fine to have the normal x output on its own or the random output on its own - but when they are together the value is too big.

I need an "Or" gate of some sort but I am not sure how to implement this?

you need to scale the values coming out of the random, right?

there are a bunch of ways to do this. the main one is to set the range of the random to where you want it, and then send 0's into the "in" of the randomizer when mouse area is clicked by having the out of the mouse area going into a value module. that way the range will be controled but the randomizer itself. this pic shows that, with a rectifier to make all the values coming out positive.

but there are a ton of different ways to scale values. if this doesn't work for you, tell more about what you want.

    Hi - thanks for replying.

Your advice is more or less where I got to (except I wasn't using the thingy to make it all positive - BUT...

When the random value is added to the original vlaue coming from the x/y output I am left with a value too big!

    Any suggestions?

to get your idea please post a screenshot of that structure part.
As i understand you need only an event merge module.

    Hey Hey,

Your a genius - the event merge is exactly what I needed.

    Thanks for the support. :)

for randomizer, i like doing this -> input triggers a value module top input, with a constant of .5 in the value in and random range input. this always triggers a random value between 0 and 1, which you can later scale.

just thought id mention that, as it is very simple....
