Using the output from Modifier components in a Host?

I like GR's modifiers. Particularly Input Level, Envelope and LFO.

But I'm using GR5 (a few instances of it) hosted in Ableton Live, and I'm cheap so I don't have Max for Live so I can't patch this stuff up myself in Max, so I was wondering if it's possible to add a Modifier component in GR5 and have the output CC (I'm guessing it's a CC?) available to control stuff outside of GR5 in the Host program?

It would mean I could run just one instance of each of these modifiers at the start of my FX chains and patch their outputs to various params. Is it possible slash how would I actually go about it? Can't seem to figure it out... :/

If I understand correctly what you want to achieve, try this:

    (1) In Ableton Live, hit the [Configure]-button in the plugin panel.
    (2) Inside the GR plugin move a fader, knob, etc. of the Modifier component and a corresponding parameter slider should appear beneath the [Configure]-button
    (3) Now you can do an Automation of this parameter inside Ableton Live

    More info here: https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/working-with-instruments-and-effects/#plug-in-configure-mode

Yeah, should be possible to set up each GR plugin instance as a single audio effects unit (with only one of the Modifier components loaded).
Then arrange or use the GR-effect-instances in your FX chain. Or use them inside an Effect Rack in combination with the Macro Control Knobs:

I've used that method to assign MIDI received by Ableton to control parameters inside GR5, but I don't want to control the Modifier parameters in Ableton (not yet anyway) I want to use the output of the Modifier to control something outside GR5, or something in a different instance of GR5 also hosted in Ableton.

    Does that make sense?

I'll have to check this ...

In the meantime, can you please post or describe a simple example.

For example if I wanted to use the Envelope modifier in GR5 to modulate the frequency control in Live's Saturator.

As far as I'm aware Guitar Rig is not designed to send midi data only receive, so unfortunately what you want to do is not possible.

As far as I know that's not possible since the GR Modifier Components can only modulate other components inside the Guitar Rig Rack.

Since you don't have Max4Live, you might have some luck finding other Envelope or LFO plugins which you can use instead ...
