I saw that I will be able to move notes closer to the quantized position, in varying degrees.

I find this feature intriguing as it is not currently an option Ableton.

Does anyone know if this will be available as a live performance feature?

i.e. will I be able to apply various amounts of quantize in real-time?

Have you used Maschine yet? Would you recommend I buy it or wait for the price to come down?

Real-time Quantize is possible on Record or Play and Record.

the Mods have all been using Maschine and the Hardware Controller for a short while.

    Re: recommendation

i personally love it. the combination of the Hardware Controller and the Software is great for coming up with stuff very quickly. it is also great for live stuff

also the Hardware Controller is lovely when working with other Software. i use a lot with Reaktor, where i have programmed quite a few of my own templates. i have also used it to play Logic's ES1 Synth, again with my own Template. as yet i haven't tried the Ableton Live Template but earlier on i did find it very easy to create one of my own.

I'll echo Phil's recommendation ; I love the thing, both for recording and for live use.
