on the fast track pro i have 2 set of out puts 1/2 and 3/4.....is there anyway i can get it so Deck A go out 1/2 and Deck B 3/4 so i can use the faders on my mixer to control volume.....from what i read the only thing i can do is use 3/4 as the headphone monitor

i am using the Denon hc4500 which automatically syncs with Traktor but no volume controller obviously....i dont want to use mouse to move volumes or crossfader...anyway to route it the way i want or any suggestions? i dont want to have to buy another midi controller just for fading

yes, set your audio preferences to External mixing not Internal (and check your manual :))

thanks....i dont have the manual and tried some searching and still having a little problem...

i am getting audio only for deck b when i switch to external...Deck A is set to Line 1/2 and Deck B S/PDIF (aka 3/4)...in audio setup i have ASIO....when i click settings it shows that Line 1/2 Active and has a Sync Ref to yes and S/PDIF is set to Active with Sync Ref of no

    any ideas? thanks

Hmm, which version of Traktor are you using ?
You can check the Traktor Manual PDF. Its in the Documentation folder.

SPDIF is the digital output. That is not the correct output.
    You should have Deck A - 1&2 Deck B- 3&4

according to the guys @ m-audio...The analog 3/4 outputs mirror the SPDIF. So you would just want to select SPID when you want outputs 3 and 4.

and 1/2 outputs was the problem anyways...

ok now i am getting audio but its weird...this question may have to revert over to the m-audio forums but if u know it i appreciate the help.

i finnally got audio for Deck A Line 1/2 but only because i turned the output level all the way up and the mix all the way to the right (labeled PB?) on the front of fast track pro....this only effects deck a, cuz i guess b is mirroring digital, and the output has to be set really high and i have to adjust gain on my mixer for it to be same as deck b....wondering if this is normal or something im missing...

Ok lets get the basics out the way cus its very often the obvious that we cant see.
Have you assigned the Crossfader correctly on Traktor.
Make sure the Crossfader is showing and centered and select A on the ABCD for Deck A.

Checkout the Crossfader section of the manual.

Check the Output routing in Traktor. Are you in External Mixer Mode. Have You set the channels to Channel A 1/2 - Channel B 3/4 .

Or are you in internal mixing mode. Master output 1/2

yes external a is 1/2 and b is 3/4.....its working now i just found it odd that i had to turn output on sound card all the up for deck a to match deck b output level

guess its just way fast track pro works

yea i have to have the pan labeled as mix all the way to the right to hear anything out of line 1/2...i thought it was just for head phones

but yes master volume is below it was well it just has to be almost fully up to get decent output

i can live with it just found it strange that needed be so high and how it only effects line 1/2 & not 3/4

loving traktor so far..im a serato guy and i might have to switch over for effects alone...gotta get used to the layout first
