    Hello,

I am sorry to hear about you having issues with this script.

Please, are you using MK3 or MIKRO MK3? And for the operating system, are you on Windows or MacOS?

Thanks in advance and sorry for this inconvenience,
Most of the drum rack issues are fixed but to be released on the upcoming v1.5.0 release, which it seems to be taking some while.

    Best,
    Elton

Thanks for the quick reply Elton, i'm using the Mikro MK3 mac OS mojave. I've found a quick solution if you open a pre made drum rack, then create a default (empty) drum rack after it seems to fix it, other wise the pads don't trigger the notes instead pad 1 activates record. Hopefully this helps someone else

Thank you a lot for your cooperation regarding to fixing this issue!

I am afraid that the script crashed when reaching that error in the drum rack mode, during specific scenarios.

Most of them I already managed to fix but not yet released.

    Thank you!

Hi, does anybody know how i can set the root note to a pad of my choosing so that when using drum rack i can always control the sounds i want? Currently it tends to move around a lot as i start adding other tracks so that when i go back to drum rack i can no longer play back the correct pads Hope that makes sense

My experience is that Live's drum racks have C1 as the root note and Maschine C3. You can fiddle around with the Controller Editor (hopefully you know what you are doing before saving ;)) or IMHO easier just use that inexpensive tool Drum Mapper: http://dsrtsound.com/drum-mapper/

    Hello

I am sorry for my late reply,

While in DRUM mode, you can use the jog wheel to scroll between more than 16x sounds/pads.

    Hello,

Thanks for your useful information you have provided :)
I would suggest to not modify the script's template, especially the pad notes and/or their CC channels. They would cause unexpected behavior on the script, as, most of the functions in the script are considering that the pads start from C3 and end to D#4, and they are changed in the script for scales, root notes, oct up/down, etc.

I apologize about my late reply,

I have been very busy with my job recently and throughout this month.
Unfortunately, I didn't manage to make decent time for more development lately.

I have postponed the release several times, I hope to fix and implement the last assignments that I have set for the v1.5.0 release and hopefully to release it within this year.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind patience

    Sincerely,
    Elton

    Hello everyone!

I hope you are doing all great!

It has been very quiet from my side as regarding to script development.

I just started to work on the script after some pause in the development and I am glad to say that there are not much issues left for the upcoming v1.5.0 and also the user manual. I am also considering to make some videos as well.

Thank you so much for all the patience so far :)

    Best regards,
    Elton

I've had the issue prior to MacOS Monterey. I wanted to use my Mikro to control drum racks/pads only. I hit 'keyboard' and I get no more responses from the pads. I hit 'pad mode' and it skips cells in the drum rack.

    Hello,

I apologize about this late reply,

Are you using Ableton Live's Drum Rack device for drum mode (in the Mikro), because the PAD MODE and KEYBOARD buttons switch the script to "DRUM or KEYBOARD" mode, depending on the selected track's instrument type (Drum Rack or normal MIDI instrument).

When using Drum Rack device and while on DRUM mode on the controller (PAD MODE), you can show more drum pads by scrolling the JOG WHEEL left/right for down/up scrolling of the drum racks' pads.

Note: Empty pads (empty chain/pad with no sound) in DRUM mode will not light up in the controller's pads.

I hope this gives a brief overview of the drum rack mode.

Please let me know if you have any other issue and I am sorry if I may have misunderstood your question.

    Thank you,
    Elton

Thank you for your response. It's appreciated.

To be more precise, whether I hit "Pad Mode" or "Keyboard" on the Mikro while I'm on an Instrument track, it goes into a C Maj scale on the pads. That C Maj scale carries over to the Drum Rack on another channel. (which skips cells, because it's restricted to C Maj)

I've noticed, when I hit "Pad Mode" or "Keyboard" on the selected Drum Rack channel itself. Nothing happens. I get no response from the pads at all.

My intent is to control Drum Racks cells with the Mikro pads.

Again, thank you for your work into this script and your patience.

    Hello,

I am having trouble trying to reproduce the problem. I tried it with v1.4.0 version of this script and it seems to be working properly (Windows 10 and 11 with Ableton Live 11). If you could provide me with a Live Set, in order to reproduce the issue while using that Set, and/or the Log.txt file, that would be greatly appreciated.

The Live's Log.txt file can be found under:
    • Windows - \Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live x.x.x\Preferences\Log.txt
    • Mac - /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live x.x.x/Log.txt
Thank you a lot for your cooperation in regarding to solve this issue :)

    Best,
    Elton

I moved over to Logic Pro X in the end, tweaked the octaves (pad notes) on Eltons controller surface, manually set up controller assignments and finally have a decent controller for production. Highly recommend this to anyone not deep rooted in Ableton as Native isn't going to do anything about it.

Thanks Elton for offering more support than the company which basks in my money.
