[v1.5.0] MASCHINE MK3/MIKRO MK3 Ableton Live 11 MIDI Remote Script (Unofficial)

Hello, thank you for your reply and appreciation!
Unfortunately, I do not own a MASCHINE MK3, but someone told me that the custom .ncm3 controller editor template that I prepared for him, worked successfully.
This week, or hopefully tomorrow, I will prepare another controller editor template for MASCHINE MK3 to support this latest version v1.4.0 and will post it and notify you.
I think that all the buttons and pads, that MASCHINE MK3 and MASCHINE MIKRO MK3 have in common, should work.

I noticed that only 6 people have downloaded the v1.4.0 zip file (latest big update) .
I strongly recommend you to download v1.4.0 version of this script if you didn't already.

This was just a quick heads up and stay tuned for v1.5.0, which will be focused on everything that improves workflow and ease of use, and also new features for new buttons (+ Manual).

Thank you for keeping me posted, I am very glad to hear that a Controller Editor script is within sight for us MK3 owners! I am very grateful for your efforts on this.

 

Maybe we can hope that Elton's future MK3 script also works for M+. because Moss has just released his script for Bitwig and Reaper that supports e.g. MK3, MMMK3 and M+ etc.

I don't know how long NI's team still needs to finalize their version but I would appreciate for being able to choose between Elton's or NI's version.

I hope all of you are doing great.

Recently, I made a controller editor template for MASCHINE MK3 (the bigger boy) with almost identical to MASCHINE MIKRO MK3 functionalities.
One small change, is that the "GROUP" button (only exclusive to MIKRO hardware) is the "SELECT" button in MASCHINE MK3, which means that it is not possible to use "Arm" features of this script using MASCHINE MK3 hardware. For example, to select a track, hold "SELECT" (not GROUP) button. Note that in MIKRO MK3 the GROUP button remains unchanged (it will enter TRACK SELECT mode).

I will update the first post of this thread to provide this compatibility support for MASCHINE MK3 and I will attach the NI Controller Editor Template file both in this reply and in the first post as well.

Thank you too, I will also consider making a template for MASCHINE PLUS as well.
On future updates, I will include all templates (MIKRO MK3, MK3, PLUS) within the same ZIP file as the script (attached to the respective update version for example v1.4.0), because, as of now, the ZIP that contains the script, contains the MIKRO MK3 CE Template only (for the moment, MK3 and PLUS will be on separate ZIPs which will also be posted here as well).

To be honest, I haven't test the script with Live 10, but you can please refer to my older script for Live 10 with limited features, which is for free, of course.

Hello everyone,

It is been very quiet as regarding to script updates and the upcoming manual and video tutorials or tips.

I am afraid that these things might take a while, especially the manual, as I am continuously making some changes to the script and workflow, so the manual must be very accurate and up to date. Thus, the current roadmap is to proceed with another release v1.5.0 and then with the manual + videos.
As for estimations, I am afraid that I cannot give for the time being, but I will keep you all updated when I have a more clearer vision about the upcoming release.

As always, I thank you all for using the script and please inform me if you have any issues or requests.

 

Elton I just bought and "installed" your script. Thank you very much for your work.

I just have one problem and don't know how to fix it. The bottom 4 pads activate these pads in the drum rack in Ableton (see picture). All other pads work fine and activate the correct pads in drum rack. How do I fix this? I already loaded your template.

Thank you very much for your feedback and for your update regarding the issue to have been fixed.
I am aware of some other "rare occurrence" issues (not this one, this one was probably not rare) related to DRUM mode, some of the issues are already fixed (planned to be released in v1.5.0 update), some others are yet to be fixed.

TLTR: Maschine MK3 and Ableton Live 11 user here. Very happy with the purchase of the scripts they! They work and make Maschine MK3 usage on Ableton much more useful.

Hi Elton Memishaj, I've been using a Maschine MK3 for 2 years, about a year ago I switched from Logic to Ableton, and since then I've been disappointed of what I had heard in the past was a great integration with Maschine and Ableton, cause it didn't seem so any longer. I came to the forums once in awhile to check to check for updates on that topic and topic and NI/Maschine updates in general, waited long for the official integration which was a bit disappointed, I'm a software developer myself so I understand devs at NI are constrained by time, business goals, capacity, what they've done looks great and it's useful, I'm sure I'll use it. But what I really wanted is what you offer, what I need actually. I'm very happy to purchase it and excited about using it.

I want to add a vote for Elton getting a MK3! Matt @ NI, please talk to your team, it will be an investment, once the word spreads and there's videos in Youtube showing the amazing integration Elton is able to deliver, it will be what will convince many potencial customers on the fence of getting Maschine, Push, Launchpad... to go for Maschine.

This is my first post Elton (took me 2 years to even register for the forums). But I really needed to send you a big applause and THANKS!
