Yeah loads of times! Now, since de VCI-100 arrival, I always go to the gig 1 hour / 1/2 hours for assembling, getting enough space, and leave it nicely settled for the act... changing between DJs can be confusing, with all the available options in the market.
One of the things i look up first is some hard case, or turntable cover to bring the VCI up! In comparison with the regular mixers, this should be 5 centimeter lower and together with all those Short tables out there, it can drop to unreasonable measurements.

About the case... Still waiting for Vestax to SELL SEPARATELY the foamed sleeve!
Or you Native guys, i bet you are all friends. Ask the Vestaxians for that small favor (a giant leap for mankind once again) or build a Custom new one with Big Traktor logo for everyone to see that you use it!

    =)

    Cheers

I've attached a few photos of the new box. I love how it fits the VCI and adds about 6 inches to the height. They carry this box at Lowes. I can't find it on their website or the Kobalt website. Not sure why, but if you're in the market for a case, this one is sweet!

On sale for $25. Yeah, I know, I couldn't believe it. Not super heavy-duty. I don't think it'll stop bullets, but it's a quality box!

    UDG Producer Bag.

It looks like the prices have gone up a bit from when I got mine, but I'm very happy with it -- it has two padded slots inside that are the perfect size for the VCI-100 and a laptop, and enough zippered pockets around the side to hold an audio interface, cables, etc.

looking for the vestax cib-1 bag

this thread looks pretty old but i am also looking for a good bag to carry my vestax vci-100. i also have a macbook pro 15" and an edirol fa-66 audio interface plus the other necessities... headphones, harddrive. seems like the vestax cib-1 is exactly what i need but i see it's only available in europe & shipping to the US is pretty extraordinary. any info on why it's not available stateside?

    Not sure.
But my ghetto rigged option works out pretty good. I have a laptop backpack, in which I put my laptop it's compartment. VCI-100, UC-33 and Firewire 410 all in the large compartment separated by egg crate foam. I wouldn't put it in the mail like that, but it works fine for being on my back or sitting in the car seat.
