Hello to all. Is there a way that I can use the exact TSI files for the 3rd & 4th decks?
Some kind of way hit a button that would switch the VC1-100 to control either set of decks with the same functions?

I know you wont let me down!

    Thanks!

Use a modifier (as TOGGLE) for the same deck functions

    2 ways to do that:

1 modifier to switch from A,B to C,D at once or
2 modifiers to individually change between A<>C and B<>D

make sure to assign the Load Track buttons accordingly

Man I am so grateful, however I have no idea how to do that.
I am trying, but I am lost in Midi World...

You are the man! I am one step from heaven. I will quote the part that I need help on:

"Anyway what i have done here is simple, Left side is for deck A+C, right side B+D , you can switch in between them from the buttons labeled as "deck A/C","deck B/D". Dependant on which deck you are all the functions will act on that deck"

Where are these mystical buttons that you speak of? Buttons labeled as DECK A/C B/D? If I can find these buttons I will be on easy street. I hope they dont bite me. I am sure they are in my face.\

    Thanks

I did read it, and now that I am looking at the Jpg I still dont get it. Im not trying to be a jerk, but I just dont know how to use the modifiers. Am I supposed to hit another button at the same time? Perhaps I loaded the wrong TSI? I have even created hotkeys to change the focus of the decks to anyone of them, but its still not changing to anything but a & b. Sorry man, I am stuck at what to do while hitting the modifier button.

    Thanks for your help.

All the modifier buttons are TOGGLE, that means on and off, only the FX Assign/SEEK button is hold
If you want I have divided the mapping into 3 parts, one part for the Browsing, one for the FX and one for Deck and EQ control. Maybe this would help you clear out anything you don't need.
Any more questions don't hesitate to ask. I could also make the changes you need, since i know the tsi :)

Mist. I have been working with it to fine tune it. My first time in Midi land. I cant thank you enough. Once I realized I could play with it without messing up the original files, and that I could just reload your same files, I just jumped into the deep end.
Since I dont scratch, I took out the scratch function. Touching the platter was too risky for me since I normally used them to manipulate the pitch all the time. Its a bit tricky to remember to push the right buttons, but I am getting the hang of it. It is pure bliss.
I am still going to invest in another VCI. Moving to Taiwan soon, so I will grab one in Japan.
Have you tried the 300? Any better? Ooops. Thats for another thread. LOL

Themistoklis, I recently set up a new user profile, and now that i have transfered my settings, I cant get the lights on the 4 modifiers to work correctly. Obviously this is crucial in the four deck operation. Any ideas?

Well Did you load the .TSI again? (Just the midi controller section)
Did you make sure you have all the outputs selected to the VCI-100.
Check the controller input/output from within the Controller manager

Give some more details on what has changed, is it only the user profile?

I have made some updates to the .TSI and quite a few changes.

    Changes:
    1. I have Divided the Controller into 3, So now You will be seeing three Controllers
    a. Browser
    c. FX
    d. Deck+Eq
All three Parts must have selected the VCI-100 as input and output

I did this so that anyone could make changes to any part without messing around with the other, and it is much simpler to work on. This also gives you more modifiers to work on ;-)
Most of the changes have been made are on the FX Section and it kinda gets complicated, But for better "performance" I belive. Yet You can use the previous FX section if you want by deleting the new and importing the older version.

In the .zip file I have included a .tsi named "full pack.tsi" which has all the midi mappings together and also the 3 midi mappings individual as "browser.tsi", "Deck+EQ.tsi" and "FX.tsi"
The FX changes can been seen on the image above, The concept behind theese changes is to be able and manipulate more effects without changing the page all the time (On the VCI that is).
So You need to Activate all 4 fx, put fx1&2 on Advanced mode and fx3&4 in Chained mode.
What i do is, I keep 2 FX in FX 1&2 that i use all the time like Flange&Delay, and assign the deck i want to the FX on the fly.
    In FX3&4 i play with the first 2 slots (Chained mode) and put on things like Beatmasher,Slicer... {you can change the FX in each slot by pressing "BANK B" and turning the same Pot, If you press the buttons below (when "BANK B" is active) then you load 2 presets you can change those presets from within the .tsi}
Also for FX3&4 the 2 black buttons (the ones that usually select the fx in each slot) now controls the Dry/Wet pot in each individual,by steps.
So FX3 is always active on Deck A,FX4 is always Active on Deck B. That is how i do it.
But You can always find your own way to use and playaround with them

    notes:

1.DECK+EQ section is connected with the BROWSER section, for the BeatJump action
    2. There is "bug" i have found on the .tsi, It has to do with the Pitch Bend, The pitch Bend (Around the Jog wheel) will only work while the Deck is playing. It will not work if the deck is stoped (this is something I chose from withinn the Mapping) But If, let's say a deck is playing and you Pitchbend (You can see the pitch bend yellow arrows on the GUI light up) and press CUE (to pause the track) while pitch bending, the pitch bend locks up and stays light . To fix that just press PLAY/CUP :)

    Now its all bugged out...

Ok. When I initially loaded the tsi files to traktor in the new user account, all worked great including latency and lagging issues I had before. Then I loaded in your new tsi and now nothing works right. all of the modifier lights remain on. The cue buttons dont work for the proper deck. Its a complete mess now. I dont even know if I spend hours in Midi land that it will pick up properly. Something is seriously wrong now dude. Its always something.
Even when i try to reload your original tsi file it is completely out of wack.

Ok lets try to see what is wrong. First of all tell me that you have a backup .tsi :)
    If not make one
Then check all the settings (Audio and other GUI settings to see if everything is as should).
Then go to CONTROLLER MANAGER->DEVICE, How many devices do you see?, write them down as you see them (I mean the description)

Now you can delete them one by one, this is done by selecting a DEVICE (from the drop down menu) and the EDIT->DELETE
After you have deleted all the midi devices, click ADD (that is left from the EDIT button)->IMPORT and load the .tsi called Browser. It should Create a MIDI DEVICE, check the In-Port and Out-Port to be the VCI-100 (dependand on the OS you are using the VCI could have different names)
Do the Same for the other 2 .tsi files named as DECK+EQ.tsi and FX.tsi make also sure the In-Port and Out-Port to be the VCI-100

tell me how did it go

Ok. I saved the version of yours that I have been working on, and things are good. But the modifier lights still dont work right. They all stay on.
Can I send you my TSI file and let you look at it?
