I was wondering if you leave Maschine and Komplete Kontrol in vegas mode for a long time what would happen.

And would it raise the electiricty bill?

Would it damage the instrument? Lcd's burn?

Probably not much at all. Depends on the definition of a "long time" but of course being LED/CCF backlight it does have a life span of around 10,000 hours so if you plan to need that amount of time in the product, wouldn't leave it on without a need.

Since it doesn't run off sunshine and rainbows then the answer would be yes, though at a current draw of approx 1(ish) amps at 15v (15w) then you can calculate how much that would impact your bill per hour.

Don't think the LCDs would suffer burn-in really, most LCDs are designed these days to not have issues with that kind of thing since LCD displays are built into everything these days.

Have it spiff up your place as much as you like, just switch it off when you go to bed.

The "screensaver mode". On the S-Series I think you press the controller page left/right buttons as you power on and the thing goes into a display mode thing where all the lights do fancy things etc. Typically used in a store to make it look cool. Can't actually use the keyboard in that state tho, it's just for show.

Hi I know it's a bit late but I've tested the current and voltage draw whilst in Vegas mode and it is a 5v device hence no power external adaptor or powered hub needed and depending on the colour wash that is being displayed the amperage is from 80ma - 190ma so under 1 20th of an amp I really wouldn't worry about the power consumption, you could leave it on all week and use less power than your phone uses in one charge, as for led burn not really an issue as they are never on the highest intensity for more than half a second, they act more like a screensaver and never get hot.
