Maybe I missed this in the user manual, but -- from the hardware -- is there any way to change the velocity of a hit besides turning the knob which sets the base (global) velocity for the sound? Is there a way to do it on a per-hit basis?

Additionally, when setting offset "automation" via step mode, is there a quick and simple way (besides the knob) to set something back to zero?

More often than not I want to set "parameter locks" for a specific step and then have to go to the next step to cancel out the offset. It would be cool if there was a button combination or something to cleanly, and promptly, return the offset to zero (or erase all offsets from the step).

    Thanks.

    Velocity in Step Mode

I too would like to know how to set the velocity of individual hits in step mode. I have been trying to figure this out for quite some time now and if anyone knows how to do this it would really help me.

While in step mode hold down the lighted up Pad that represents the hit you wish to edit. Whilst you hold it down Maschine's master volume will adjust the velocity of that hit, the tempo knob will adjust the tuning of that hit, and the swing knob will adjust it's position in relation to the grid.

No idea about an easy way to zero automation settings.

When you automate a step in Maschine it makes all the rest of the steps in that pattern after that step to take on that change as well. So to automate just one step, you just hold down the next step and turn the knob back down. The way it's implemented that way makes it faster to automate several steps at once compared to Elektron gear where you have to change every single step you want to affect.
