Hello all, I just installed my verson of dynamo a few hours ago, But I just can't figure out how it works. I don't have an external midi keboard so how do I control notes(such as A B C Etc.) can anyone give me a few start-up pointers, I would really appreciate it. Thanks to all in advance.

    The obvious starting place....

....would be to read the manual that came with Dynamo. With no midi keyboard, you might be limited to running and manipulating the drum machine instruments and things like triptonizer and formantor....things that can run on their own. You can get a feel for what each instrument sounds like by playing the demo midi file that comes with each instrument.

Realize that you can only run one Dynamo instrument at a time, but each instrument has many presets, or snapshots that you can try, manipulate, change, and save your own snapshots.

Plan on a midi keyboard controller to get the most out of Dynamo. You will need a midi interface for your computer, but ANY keyboard with midi will work, no matter how inexpensive....normally, the sounds in the keyboard won't matter as you'll be using Dynamo to generate the sounds, so you might want to just get a contoller keyboard with no sounds at all....even new, they're pretty inexpensive....look up Fatar keyboards, Oxygen by Midiman, etc.

I would recommend just playing with the program, getting familiar with it, you'll know when it's time to get some kind of controller.

    Hope this helps...Good Luck.

Actually, I think you *can* use the qwerty keyboard to play notes in most Dynamo instruments: "z" = C, "s" = C#, "x" = D, etc. This is no substitute for a midi keyboard, though.
