    Hello guys,

    I'm waiting for my Vestax Spin any minute now and I'm going to start mapping it as soon as I got it hooked up to my laptop (running on Windows 7 64Bit - Traktor Pro 1.2.3).

    Someone here got one?

    Yep ;) This guy "oldfashioned" is actually me ;)

    I mapped all the LEDs, now I am trying to figure out how to map those level meters next to the gain sliders...? Any Ideas? Also is it possible for the play button to blink with the tempo of the track or if the track is in a loop?

    My first question then: Is your Spin "freezing" if you press multiple times on a buttons that has LED output ( CUE for example) ?


    To have the button blinking to the Tempo, you have to map Add Out >Output > Beat Phase Monitor

    For the loop , I would think Add Out >Cue/Loops> Loop Active

    As for the level meter, I think they are directly linked to the hardware of the soundcard, but you can always try Add Out >Output > Master Level

    That freezing is exactly what I experience now! I described it in the DJTT forum thread. Play, Set Cue, Cue, FX, Sync... they all cause freeze ups! Strangest thing is that when your controller freezes and you press one of those buttons WITHIN traktor (with your mouse or what have you) the controller unfreezes...? That's a bloody mystery! Now... Is it possible that LED outputs run on different channels? I ran MIDI-OX... Nothing weird happens there...

    Btw here's my latest map (don't think that the mapping itself has to do anything with the freezing or maybe... :S

    It something do with the device itself. As soon as you enable Output to the LEDs, it will freeze. I've had the problem with numerous MIDI applications (MIDI OX among them) on both MAC and PC.


    I'm sure it's something Vestax could easely...if they really wanted to.

    this is a completely new map all together... everything works like you'd expect :) Later that night I'm uploading next version... both here and in DJTT forum :)

    But straight to your question... no Low EQ is Low EQ ;)

    uhmm... I don't think you've talked to ME about "headphone mapping thing"... could have been with DJ Balla from DJTT... still if you mean headphone cue... yep it's working. ;)

    You would probably be the first to try the map and give some feedback :)

    It's a cool little thing really :) Functional too! TeLLy...it was actually your post that pointed me in the right direction! MIDI In / MIDI out clashing... now I get very very few (close to none) freeze-ups and the functionality is growing by the hour. Still can't map those volume/gain meters though... :/

    @ Architech: Great success and thanks for your dedication....and yes, I think it was Balla who I meant to ask. LOL.

    @ TeLLy: Yes, see you Sunday and make sure you hit the foreign exchange counter before they close ;) We use a different currency out here in the east, you know. By the by...you must pick up a Spin...even as a backup as I know you mentioned that you miss jog wheels.

    Ok guys... here's where it's getting fun :D

    Improvements:

    1. Shift + Mic Pitch controls Effect 3

    2. Shift + Left Jog Wheel moves Up and Down through the track list

    3. Automix + Jogwheels - Controls Dry/Wet on effects! Cooler then you might think ;]

    POST UPDATE

    It's 4:30 AM and I am officially hallucinating now :D Anyways...

    version 1.1:

    - added LED notification when track is in AUTO Loop :)

    - AND FINALLY, after 5 hours of misery... the channel level meters :) It was a real mission to get them working!

    Don't work

    I've tried importing this tsi and it doesn't work. Is this for PC only? I use a Macbook and other tsi's work

    Works for me here on a MAC MINI with 1.2.3

    Nice job BTW. Not sure yet what you did exactly to prevent it from freezing, but I'm sure going to study it :)

    Check the midi ranges on some of the LED outs ;) It still freezes once in a while but every time it does I take corrective measures. Soon it will be completely freeze-free :)

    So glad it works for you!
