Yep, I've received Vestax TR-1 today.

Solid build quality. Smooth knobs and faders, it feels way better than VCI 300 I had, probably because of much nicer knobs. Long faders. It also has much more responsive buttons than VCI 300 did, but they made of hard plastic and also produce some noise when unit is shaken. I don't like the LED's - they look strange. LED brightness is adjustable.

Every button sends Note On and Off message, most knobs send control change message. Pitch faders send Pitch Bend type messages with a pair of 7 bit data, which looks like 14 bit midi for me, but I'm not sure.

The Shift and top A\C, B\D toggles send nothing. The toggles actually change MIDI channel for a set of deck controls and Shift temporarily shifts the note for a predefined set of a buttons. And thats a bummer because I'm unable to use a shift with effect controls, for example. Maybe I just miss something.

My first impression is positive. I'd recommend to check TR-1 if you need a good quality compact controller.
