vestax vci-100 and dj tech tool vci question

i was just thinking about purchasing a djtechtool vci-100 however i was just wondering what the big differences were between that one and the regular vci-100.

It'll be black, come with the 1.3 firmware and have differently coloured LED lights.

 

i see cool thanks. would i be able to change the l.e.d lights on the silver vestax to the same colors on the djtechtool vestax?

also which one do u think is better in the long run?

You can upgrade a standard VCI 100 to the DJ Techtools version (1.3) yourself, you can also switch between version 1.2 and 1.3 by powing up the VCI and holding down on of the buttons. You just do not get the overlay but you can buy the overlay direct from DJTechtools.

black VCI 100s are available in the UK from Hard to find records, Swanflight make a superb custom flight case for the VCI, the black VCI has white/blue leds and looks great. I have both a silver and black VCI, both running version 1.2 & 1.3.

 

I've a black VCI, yet the LCDs are the standard green/blue. Personally the colour of the LCDs does not bother me, but black suits the rest of my gear.

 

In Germany you can buy a black VCI-100 called "VCI-100 B".

It's a tad more expensive than the silver one and I don't know whether it comes with FW 1.2 or 1.3.
