One for the VCM600 on the way, l but will also look at one for the APC40 when it comes out.

Will no-doubt put up a really boring instruction video about them when they are ready...

Just to say this mixer is great for traktor. You have great control on the mixes. Just so much flexibility!

 

Midi notes used

Guys,
Does anyone have a list of the midi notes utilised by the VCM 600 as I am having a pig with conflicting notes on my PadKontrol?

 

I spent some time yesterday mapping out the notes and controls used on the VCM 600 to avoid conflicts. This includes using the bank function for the full 12 channels.

The V denotes which items use the VCM as I am using this document to map all of my midi controls to avoid having any conflicts.

 

Strange noises

Hi there,

I just have a strange problem i can't figure why.
Here it is : i use a Korg Pad Kontrol, and a VCM-600 to control Traktor Pro, with a Audio Kontrol 1, windows XP, 2,08 Ghz, 1 Go ram.
I meet some strange noises when i push my "deck focus" button, which is, on my mapping, the "stop" red button of the VCM-600.
It is only and only when i change the deck focus, no matter if i do something else. If i remember correctly, i have the problem since the last traktor update.
To avoid theses bad artefacts, i must setup my latency to 60 ms ! :angry:

Could someone with a VCM-600 load my tsi and try it ? I can't find where is the problem.

Hi there elefanc. I have downloaded the tsi and will try it out tonight. I too am using the Padkontrol but I have used the librarian software to change each scene to guaruntee that there are no conflicts with the buttons so I will need a copy of your .kpks file if you need me to test the functions on the PadKontrol.......
I have now mapped the keys on my Evolution X Session too just as I got piss*d with turning a knob or pressing a button and two things happening.
Out of interest have you managed to get FarmPad working with your PadKontrol?

Here is the map of all of my midi devices.
Key:
V = VCM 600
P = PadKontrol (This is customised by me to ensure that there are no conflicts)
E = Evolution X Session
M = M-Audion X-Session Pro
O = M-Audio 02 Oxygen
Yellow = Traktor mapped
Grey = Ableton mapped
Green = Unallocated

I know now that each scene or bank for each of my midi devices does not conflict.

 

Hi Fleater, thanks for your attention.
I have made more testing yesterday, and it seems that is a problem with the outputs for "deck focus" : if i delete the 4 lines "modifier 3 / output", i don't have anymore the problem.
The problem is still there if i just change the note for another one.
I don't think it's a conflict with the Pad Kontrol, but i can send to you my kpks file, just send me your mail via mp, kpks files are not allowed on this forum.

I don't have farmpad kontrol, i'm on PC, not Mac
