Hi there Elefank. I have tried your settings and I do not have any issues at all. I have tried it whilst playing tracks and also with paused tracks but loaded. No noise. I do however have an ADJ8, and a mac (quite a different setup!
    Sorry dude.
Like some of your settings on the VCM tho!

Elefank. Why not try the midi notes that the VCM600 uses on another device. The notes that you will need to set your PadKontrol to use are as follows:
    Deck A
    F4 on Midi Channel 1
    Deck B
    F4 on Midi Channel 2
    Deck C
    F4 on Midi Channel 3
    Deck D
    F4 on Midi Channel 4.

Make sure you back up the settings on the padkontrol or use a scene that is not in use. If the noise continues then it is a software issue. Also might be an idea to look in depth at your midi settings to see if the above notes are set up to do more than one function? Although I have not seen a midi function for click in the midi setup of Traktor.
Do you use any other midi software on your computer that might send interference to the soundcard?
Just a thought if you click on the tab at the top of the Midi Mapping column marked "assigned" (on a mac at least) and then look to see if there is a conflict or the above notes appear twice and what they are set up to do? I have just noticed that mine has 2 functions from an early mapping I forgot I had done.......
    Canee be of more help....
    Good luck.

Thanks for your help Fleater. Though i have already try this check before to post my problem on this forum.
My last searching processhas brought me some success : i have deleted the two command lines for output loop in and output loop out, and now ALL IS OK, i don't have strage noises anymore. I don't understand how it could affect this weird issue, but it works, i have now my latency down to 10 ms.
Just for information, to map the deck focus on PadKontrol didn't change anything.
What is it more strange is if i delete all the mapping and map only deck focus, outputs and loop in, loop out and output, i don't have the issue.
Anyway, feel free to sample my mapping, vcm 600 is a neverending piece of possibilities.
I would very likely to have a look on your own tsi.
    Thanks Fleater, you are great.

Don't worry about it. To be honest its nice to be able to help someone on this forum, normally its me that seems to be take take take. My tsi is just functional to be honest for the VCM. I use the PadKontrol for the advanced functions. I will post in due course.
    Enjoy.

    Slow faders and knobs

    Hello,
I bought a VCM 600 and connected it to a macbook with Ableton Live 7, but the faders and knobs in Ableton sometimes react very slow with the controller.
    Please help.

Can be a number of reasons...... Slow computer unable to manage load of Ableton actions. Too many USB devices causing a bottleneck on the USB. Most likely the former though! Might also be that the VCM is over loading the power from the USB. Always use a powered hub for the VCM so that the unit is not drawing all of its power from the computer....... It does recommend this in the manual if you are not using the external power option on the VCM.......
Whatever the case, this is a Traktor forum Native Instruments forum......

Hi, i just bought a new PC laptop for Traktor Pro, i bought a HP Pavilion dv6-1523. I have try TP with Vista and it was a true sh*t for audio. All is working good, except latency was > 45 ms ! So i made a dualboot to try Windows 7 32 bits.

And it works like a charm, all is very smooth, latency is 5.5 ms, with my padKontrol and the VCM-600. All is ok, all my mapping is working the same than on my old XP, except one thing : the lights.

In fact, i have a big delay between the input and the led : if i press "play", tracks plays instantly but i must wait 4 seconds before the light goes on !

Anything about that ? Can't find what has change.

Does anyone have a list of the cc/note's for the LED's on the vcm600? Thanks in advance.
    ---
Sorry, one other question - is there a blank overlay for Traktor pro available for the vcm600 yet? I know someone on this forum (I think his username was proof) was talking about one a long time ago. Thanks again.

Kev68 : search in this thread the Fleater's post, he published exactly what you are searching about cc notes.
For the blank overlay, no there is no one, you could print a blank picture of the vcm 600...

Elefanc - I thought that file was just for knobs/faders/buttons - is it for LEDs also? I cant check it as I wont have VCM600 until next week. I was just doing a bit of prep beforehand to save myself some time as I know there will be a lot of programming ahead to set it up exactly how i like.

Can you confirm that fleaters file is for LEDs also? Thanks.

I took a look at the pictures of the vcm600, but where can you plugin your headphones? and is it possible to prelisten tracks, with or without the other track also playing in your headphones?

    Hi there doptiedop;552804,

I think that it is important that you look into the product that we are discussing! This item is a MIDI controller only! No sound goes through it. It controls DAW compatible software which in turn affects the output from the additional sound card (purchased seperatly).

Trust me you will be gutted if you do not do your homework before buying this product and it does not perform the way you want it to!

Do a little search for DAW and midi only devices..... Sounds like you need a product that supports sound too!

    Regards,

    Fleater

One thing to note is that I use the three knob type cut out thingies on the mixer.
I will talk you though what other bits do once you have your vcm set up and running.
