    questions please:

-are these redone, or are they the same samples I already have in kontakt 4/kore 2?
-anyone have it yet? (either download of part of komplete)

It looks (and according to the demos sounds) like a sample version of B4 in some ways but it's a little bit pricey.

Actually, I already owned everything in the Komplete 7 upgrade that I wanted except for Vintage Organs. I listened to the demos and read the information and decided to give it a try at $59.

I'm glad I did. The sounds are great and since they work within Kontakt 4.1 I now have quality Organ sounds in a 64 bit Mac OS X instrument plugin. I have been using B4 II but since its only a 32 bit plugin it has been a problem. Kontakt 4.1 and Vintage Organs work great in Logic 9.1.1.

In my opinion, the more NI is able to consolidate sample based instruments to work inside Kontakt 4.1 the better.

I used the Vintage Organs during a recording session yesterday (about an hour after I bought them on-line!) and the producer thought they were great. Can't ask for better than that...install them and use them during a recording session all within an hour. ;-)

I was pretty disturbed about the B4II being discontinued. I did the crossgrade yesterday and have to say that I really like the Vintage Organs. Even though the vintage organs are sample based, there is still plenty of opportunity to customize the sound with drawbars, switches, amps, eq, leslie, ect. What's really different from the B4 is the combo organ sounds. Really nice. I haven't used it for long but I've already become a big fan!

    very good very good
responses so far for this wonderful program
now that NI's bass, keys, pianos, organs are now up to date and kontakt has been overhauled, especially reaktor, we can def see whats in the future.

    the future is bright

    NI!

now all we need is 64 bit mac and pc support over all programs!

Thanks to the OP for this thread. I had no idea that there was cross-grade pricing for this product. I quickly scoffed it up.

And will you please give some reviews? I unfortunately have to pay the full price (unless someone has a coupon laying around collecting dust I could use)

I am THIRSTY for information! :)

Seem cool so far, but I have a problem with the drawbars being reversed with my controller.
When I push in, it draws it out :-/

    Any way to reverse this?

And is there any way to control the click sound?

OK.. installed and put the vintage organs into one of my tracks and played around.... for my needs... OUTSTANDING...

I like the fact you can change the sound of the organs with the drawbars a bit, just enough for my classic rock sounds I need.

Choosing one of the two controller presets in the "controller options" page, seems to reverse the polarity of the drawbars...so my problem is solved!

But when trying to assign the controllers from a blank preset, they were reversed.

the drawbar things sounds odd but so far I have not heard anything bad about them on the forums.

I am still really interested in how different (if at all) they are from the kontakt ones. (or the 57 drawbar ones)

Oh yeah, the other thing I'm a bit concerned about is not being able to adjust the overall width or panning as I frequently like to narrow that a bit.

    Hello Oli,

automating drawbars in Vintage Organs works as expected when working with with sliders (e.g. the ones found on the Edirol PCR series or other keyboards). However when controlling the drawbars with knobs, you'll have to change the polarity.

You can reverse the polarity of an automation assignment in Kontakt in the Automation Tab. In the lower left corner you'll find two value fields, set them to "From: 100%" and "To: 0%".

If possible, you can also reverse the polarity of the controls on you MIDI controller.

    Hope this helps,
    nicki

    vintage organs is the best

its better than b4 II and 57 drawbar (man 57 drawbar was serious nonsense)

Ni has done us proud guys

this new version of organs is really insane...

    trust me

go buy a b3 and a farfisa and see if the vintage organs isnt almost 100% to that sound if you use eq and some comp...

anyone making a serious track would master their overall sound

    ud be stupid not to...

    thumbs up NI

    you sold me!

Still weighing up my upgrade options at the moment, but I'll definitely be getting this eventually.. dunno whether to upgrade from Komplete6 to Komplete7 (only recently upgraded from Komplete5 to Komplete6 during the summer special, plus which I already have many of the K7 bundled Kontakt instruments.. including the Scarbee ePiano updates), vs the 50% crossgrade offer for Vintage Organs.
I did download the Vintage Organs.pdf.
Can someone please tell me.. how is the "vintage" vs "modern" drive sounding? Does "modern" sound like the drive in B4 II, and (I wish!) "vintage" sound anything like the drive in B4 v1?
Like many people, it is the combo organs that have gotten my saliva glands going! ;)
