I just bought the the Komplete Kontrol S61 keyboard, and I've installed the most recent versions of all the software. My problem is that when using the Komplete Kontrol software, and I load in a synth like Massive through Komplete Kontrol, it does not respond or produce any sound when I type keys on my keyboard, the way it normally would when I open up Massive as a stand alone. I have Komplete Kontrol Virutal Input switched on under the preferences. How can I fix this?

Komplete Kontrol doesn't offer virtual keyboard.

Oh, I'm confused, why is it an option then within the midi settings? http://imgur.com/6BpnvDG

Also, I have noticed that when I open Komplete Kontrol, the close button (the little red one on the mac) for the window is greyed out, although the other two yellow and green ones are just fine. Is that typical also? When I push a key on my typing keyboard it makes that sound as if there's another window open with a prompt I need to address first (sorry if that didn't make any sense).

that 'Virtual' port is for sending MIDI between applications.

i presume you are on a Mac, you seem to have a number of MIDI Inputs and Outputs missing.

i am just talking about the Komplete Kontrol ones - the 'Virtual' on is half hidden at the bottom.

Oh yes, I didn't have my Komplete Kontrol plugged in at the time. So I guess there's no way to use my computer's keyboard as a "virtual" musical keyboard the way that massive can, right? Sometimes I'm not at home around my keyboard and that's why I wanted to this feature. Bummer :/

EvilDragon - you really better double check your statements, cause you misleading people.

I use to use Komplete Kontrol and of course it used display vitrual keyboard. This is how I used my physical keyboard mapped to what's on the screen. After last update I cannot get his to work. Instead full Kontakt shows up in the same window. Everything got screwed up.

The whole idea behind is to use keyboard highlighted sections and be able to see them on the screen. It used to work that way, but not anymore. Altough I can see the keyboard I see otns of other things which normally should be hidden (in Kontakt).

Nesting entire Kontakt inside Komplete Kontrol is as stupid as it gets. It doubles the libraries list and takes extra memory. Not to mention that Menu entry "Edit View" has nothing to do with editing anything because nothing can be changed (at least to my knowledge).
Working with NI products is like going back to DOS era :-(

You do realise this thread is 3 (almost 4) years old?

And KK never had a virtual keyboard available in it ever. Maybe you were thinking of the Kontakt keyboard displayed but KK has never had an OSD keyboard tho it is a feature request.
