Does anyone know if it is the AK1's Vista drivers that are causing the clicks and pops? I have disabled every non vital service, process, and hardware, leaving very very few background programs running and I'm still getting pops in my audio. I have virtual memory turn all the way down, I have disabled several services in services.msc and msconfig as well as turning off all Vista Aero features. I'm really frustrated. On my XP machine I could have the wireless turned on surfing the internet with my anti virus solution up and running and still have cubase sx3 open with Komplete 5 vst's running and have 0 pops. This was on a machine with half the specs of my Vista machine. I would love to put XP on the new machine, but I'm having a hard time finding drivers. So, does anyone on the inside know if they are working on better Vista drivers. I like my AK1, but this is so frustrating. Please Native Instruments, what is the deal with Vista?

Thanks, I've actually read that article before. I run a program that monitors process (better than the task manager) and I do see DPC jumping to the top. I'm not sure how to remedy this since I had disabled all Hardware that wasn't vital to windows running. I.E. Optical drive, NIC, Wireless, Touchpad, Internal Camera, Internal SD card reader, Internal sound devices. Pretty much anything that isn't associated with Windows operation normally. Is there something else I'm missing? Thanks for your quick response, I really like NI and I don't want this problem to shake my confidence in them. Although like I said, I never had any problems with XP.

Why is it when ever theres a driver issue or a problem we are pointed else where.

    Its the ak1 m8.

Im getting pops in MP3S so whats that cos vista has the in built poker game well ive deleted the poker and still pops and yea im taking the mick.

It seems to me NI or the mods on this forum just havent a clue on what the problem is.

Every single product i have is NI from synths to sound card. every single install you have to install service centre as its not good enough to actually no you have already installed it. then it crashes.

    VISTA 64
    MAPPER DONT WORK
    KORE DONT PLAY SOUNDS
DRIVERS ARE WORKING - BUT LIKES TO POP
AUDIO KONTROL 1 in the taskbar if you close the app it kills it all together. it does not go back to the tray.

Im now going to try windows 32bit.
