I use Sonar. I want to play a line on a synth, say Reaktor, have its' sound converted into a voice through Vokator, and record the process into Sonar, so that I can play, record and monitor the Reaktor/Vokator combo in real time just like I would a normal synth. How do I set up Sonar and Vokator to accomplish this? It's a no-brainer in stand-alone mode using the built in synth. But doing it as described above stumps me!

    Welcome :)

Insert Reaktor or whatever synth using the synth rack. On the audio track created by the synth rack, insert Vokator in the FX bin. If you're using the VST version, use the FX version. You'll have to rescan if you don't have it enabled as a DXi synth in the wrapper's properties. Create a MIDI track and have Vokator be the output. Arm the MIDI track for the first synth and the MIDI track for Vokator and play. Done.

    Thanks, man.

I did the following: Insert Reaktor or whatever synth using the synth rack. On the audio track created by the synth rack, insert Vokator FX in the FX bin. Arm the MIDI track for the first synth (Vokator is not available on any midi track as it has been loaded as an effect) and play. It works, but I've lost the option for midi input to trigger the "speech sample" in Vokator as the Vokator (fx version) isn't receving midi input as it is being used as an effect and not as a synth. I'd really like to "sync" the voice sample playback to my playing on my synth so I can target the words rather than just have them happen randomly as I play. I can always bounce the vokator track and cut it into loops, but..., I really like doing everything "live" if possible. Do I ask the impossible ;-> ? Let me know.

    Thanks!

Go back and read my post- I said that if you're using the VST version, use the FX version- BUT you'll have to rescan and configure it as a DXi synth on its properties page in the adapter if you haven't already configured it that way...

Or, you can just use the DXi version and insert it in the FX bin...

    Hello
I have quite funky problem.I don't know how to record automation of the buttons in Cubase SX.I can do it with other VSTs by choosin Generic remote and assign parameters there, but it doesn't work with Vokator.

    Any ideas?
