Heyo. I am shopping around for Vokator and noticing that many places are now sold out and a few resellers have it marked as "discontinued". This was also confirmed in a conversation I had with an NI Support rep and I was told that the product was not going to be re-released or updated.

I was strongly considering getting a license, but paying full-pop ($250) for something that is about to become vapourware seems to be foolish. If these things are true, Vokator really ought to be a part of the "Summer Sale" you guys are having.

Any additional insight to offer here? Vokator really is a jewel in the NI crown and I am a little suprised by all of this...

    Hi,

They just updated it to Mac intel so I would be surprised if they are dropping it after doing that work.

    Cheers

NI only did put those instruments on summer sale which are probably going to be updated in autumn/winter as it was last year with Absynth3 etc. So you get your cheap license this summer for and buy the update some 3 or 4 months later. This way they evade the complains about ppl. who recently bought the full version and now have to pay another 99 bucks for the update and as a nice side effect have some new customers which would have never bought the product if they had to pay the full price in first place.

I would love NI to bundle the Windows versions of Vokator and Spektral Delay and sell them off for peanuts, like Waldorf did with Dpole / Wave 2.v / Attack... I hear they sold van loads of The Waldorf Edition when it went down to below 50 Euro.
