vokator in sonar

I run sonar 2.2 on a windows 2000 operating system.
After installing vokator, I found out to my surprise that it doesn't show up in sonar under my DXIs. I reinstalled vokator making sure that I check the box for DXI installation again with no success.
I have four other DXI's from NI that I use inside sonar with no problem so I know the problem is not from sonar.
Has anybody else run into this problem?

 

Is there a DXi folder in your Vokator folder? If this is the case try to register the plugin manualy. To do this, you must create a small text file (call it register.bat and save it in the DXi folder) which contain only one line:

c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe VokatorDXi.dll

Then start this batch file with a double click. There should be appear a message box that tell you that the registration was succesful.

when i installed vokator, it initially hung up during the vst portion. it ran as a stand alone but i didn't see it as a DXi in sonar, i reloaded and did not load in the VST component and it completed the install and it works like a champ in sonar 2.2

 

I have the same problem. I asked not to install the vst and it did anyway.... will try to erase the vst .dlls and see if Sonar can find them.

 

I solved my problem, but I couldn't go back through the steps even if I tried. Steffen Fuerst from NI is the man to contact. I am sure he will be able to help you.

I installed Vokator and the update, and I also did not get the DXi installed in such a way that I can see it in my DX apps (such as sonar 2). I attempted to register the DLL manually as suggested earlier in the thread to no avail.

Can someone please help?

 

I can only help by saying that is also true of my situation. Did what you did, uninstalled, tried a manual delete of the registry (but couldn't find anything... so just used delete program), reinstalled, tried the manual register and also the update. NI keeps telling me they can't reproduce the problem. Hopefully enough of us will let them know it is a problem......... Sorry I cannot be of more help

Well, I filled out an official support request so we'll see how long that takes. Hopefully the problem with the installer will be addressed sometime soon.

 

Anybody still having this problem? I did the update, but still no Vokator DXi in Sonar.
