Volume control for EP?

In Options, I can elect to use cc#7 and 10 for volume and pan. If I deselect this, I would expect volume to be handled by cc#11, but nothing changes. What is the alternate (default?) volume cc#? I cannot use cc#7, the volume pedal input on my keyboard is hard-coded to cc#11, and all the rest of my setups rely on this.

Thanks for any ideas. The new update, even if it fixes this, will not help me, I'm on a Receptor and can ony update when they do - on my other machines it doesn't matter, they're all studio, but this is the live rig and I MUST have pedal-based volume control. I wonder if the anwer could be to load into Kontakt instead?

 

Will Receptor let you copy modified instruments to the Elektrik Piano Library? You can make your edits in Kontakt 1.5 for Elektrik Piano and it will still load them. You could add your CC11 as an external controller to the Amp module for all groups and that might get you what you want.

 

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. I have Kontakt installed on the Receptor, and also on one of my PCs. I'll give that a try, thanks.

 

Edited the piano but Elektric Piano on Receptor can't open the new preset ("made with a newer version, etc.")

May have to run it in Kontakt to be workable, but thanks. This will eventually get resolved as they catch up with the updates, and then it will work fine.

 

What version of Kontakt did you make your edits with? I just edited one instrument here with Kontakt 1.5.3 after reading this and it loads in EP just fine. EP uses the 1.5.x engine so if you used K2 it won't be backward compatible.

 

Hmmm, it was K2. Let me see if I have the earlier version - I only bought it to run Garritan Strad, now is when it begins to pay off...
