Hey there, i hope one of you can help me with the following problem.

I played a while on my computer with a mixtrack pro controller with traktor LE.
Then i thought it was time for an upgrade so i bought traktor pro 2.
I always used the built in sound card in the mixtrack pro controller.
All works fine except for one thing i found out when i was listening to a mix i made.
When 2 channels are open at the same time the sound gets very loud.
Maby im doing something wrong but i am used to put both channels to the max when mixing.

I looked long and hard in the manual but i cant find anything that seems to tackle this problem...

Anyone have any idea what i might be doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

2 channels at max = twice the volume

There is no problem. Two tracks are always louder than one.

Crossfaders can sometimes be set to equal loudness, reducing the volume of both tracks when centered.

Mixers will sometimes have a wider (bolder) line on them (probably at -6db). Instead of maxing your fader out to the top, set it to that line, as a) it will give you a little headroom to boost the volume a bit if you need to, and b) when you mix two tracks at -6b each, the mix will peak around 0db.

Just sounds like he needs to use the combination of headroom setting and the output limiter to control his output level or learn to mix using the two faders to balance and blend your music.

Headroom and Master output will not change the fact that two tracks are louder than one. Using the Traktor Limiter is an awful way of maintaining a constant output level.
