I can follow the thought to provide all Guitar Effects inside a Rack, this absolutely makes sense. But as a producer i want to be able to pull in an effect with a standard Host Controller mapping to my DAW.

I started to think about that when i first used Reflektor, where implementation to Guitar Rig didn't make too much sense to me. I then wondered about such a decision again when Traktor's 12 came. And now NI is providing some obviously great compressor simulations, whose usability for producers is greatly reduced by offering them just inside Guitar Rig.

I can understand that NI wants to stick to a single engine to maintain. That's ok. But please, NI, provide a wrapper for us producers that allows us to use just a single effect of the package as simple VST or AU, without having to fight with the whole GR Rack. I want to be able to simply pull in a compressor and have all my controllers mapped in a standard way.

I have GR 4 and PodFarm 2 and like both for different reasons. One of the things I like about PodFarm 2 is that they let you do what you're talking about. They seperate everything into what they call "elements" and it lets you use individual "elements" without having to use the whole PodFarm 2 plugin.

Yeah, i know that from another product i own as well: IK Multimedias T-Racks. I think NIs Rack-Solution is great, as far as when it comes to effects, that are more productionoriented than for live use. As it is the case now, especially with Reflektor and the new Compressors, i think they have to look for a more flexible solution for producers.

Maybe there are some proposals on how such a wrapper could look like? I just thought of a single effect host, which contains standard parameter mappings for each of the contained effects. So you could pull in a GR4_single.vst and then choose it to be a Reflektor, which would immediately put all the parameter mappings into place...

With GR5 coming out and it has the "Container",why coudl't they make it so we could load effects chauns into the "Container"and use that as a vst wrapper.

This sounds pretty convincing. All there would be to do would be creating some presets for each of the compressors/reverbs/whatever you want to use. Load that to Maschine/VST-Host and go with ready mapped parameters.

Shouldn't be too much of an effort, let's hope someone at NI picks it up...
