VST Folder(s)

I've been playing around with EP installation and Cubase 4. I'm trying to get EP into a Keys folder in the VST instruments rack.

Cubase will allow me to put a Keys folder under Steinberg\vstplugins\ and so I installed the EP plugin into \Steinberg\vstplugins\Keys. I opened Cubase and no Keys folder and EP was in the main VST Instruments Window. So I dragged another dll to the Keys folder and closed and reopened Cubase. Now there is a Keys folder with EP inside (seems there must be more than one instrument in a folder or Cubase ignores the folder).

However, now EP is found under Keys\vst\Elektrik Piano in the VST Instruments folder. So...I go searching and I notice an identical EP dll in the Native Instruments\Elektrik Piano\VST\ folder. So I close Cubase, move the NI\EP\VST folder elsewhere temporarily, reopen Cubase and, voila, now EP is inside the Keys folder in VST Instruments with no intervening VST folder. However...now EP is distorted on all presets.

Anyone have any suggestions?
