VST or DXI?

    Hello,

    I am installing NI Komplete right now for Cakewalk Sonar. I know i can either use a DXI or VST install, which one is better, or IS one better?

    Just wondering,

    I use the VST plugins myself;

    1) there aren't DXi versions for all the K5 content
    2) even Cakewalk's moving away from DXi

    You can install both versions if you wish, though. Remember to run all of Komplete as standalone apps at least once before using them as plugins in Sonar for the first time.

    Ok thank you! Why do you say to run the standalones before running them in sonar as plugins?

    Because the plugin versions won't initialize correctly if you don't- they refer to the standalone app for libraries and the like.
