1. Hi everyone,

Apple just released Logic Pro 10.5 for MacOS 10.15. We found out that Massive X, Crush Pack, Mod Pack, Replika, and Replika XT will crash.

Our teams are currently working on a fix, and we hope to have this out to you as soon as we can!

    Best wishes,
    The NI Team

Probably best to google/search this question to save another explanation of how ending development of VST2 does not == it being obsolete overnight.

NI doesn't answer the important questions on the forums, let alone this kind of question.

So best answer to your question of WHEN would be DUNNO
It's not really a concern unless DAWs suddenly stop supporting VST2 which is unlikely given many don't even support VST3 yet as is. Uptake of VST3 has been very slow so I wouldn't place any bets on VST3 being in the immediate pipeline. Give it (seriously) about 10 years for VST3 to become the new 2... about enough time for the next iteration of something to create histeria again.

don´t forget that VST3 was invented in 2006, not 2016 - so there were 12 Years for all 3rd-party-companys to port there VST to the next step: VST3

Kind of my point. All this time and still, barely any company really uses VST3 as the primary format. It will STILL be another 10 years before VST2 starts to actually be replaced (not co-exist) with VST3.

ok, but I read in another forum that there are companys who released there last products/updates only in VST3 - and then they didn´t work with KOMPLETE KONTROl nor with MASCHINE. That´s my point beside all those fine benefit from VST3 (expression etc.) why am a bit angry ´bout NI saying NOTHING about VST3-future
