Warning:memory is getting low...

Keep getting this message:

NI Akoustic Piano
Warning:memory is getting low.
This may cause dropouts and other artifacts!

Im using it with logic 8 or a quad core mac with 10gb ram. Which memory is this referring to exactly? Actual, virtual, something else? And how do I fix this? With my spec and project file (which is quite minimal in terms of plugins etc) I am surprised that this error message appeared.

Any advice appreciated!

AP's a 32 bit app without large address awareness. It will give that message when RAM use besides the OS approaches 2 GB.

The fix? Use the Kontakt player to play AP; it has extended memory support.

Thank you ew for the quick response. Just downloading it now. A couple of questions: Could this have cause my logic project file to crash or not save properly? - as this has been happening.

Also, when is the Akoustic piano sample library installed to on a mac? I have had a look but cant seem to find them?

Sorry that should have read "where are the AP samples installed on a mac?" and not "when"...

Any ideas?

Wherever you told them to install during the AP installation.
