First thing I did, was look at the manual. After reading it 4x, it still does not make any sense.

To keep it simple, I have one instrument with a few samples. It has a custum graphic file (.png), the associated .txt file, and a .tga file (wallpaper). I am trying to figure out how to create a .nkr which will pack these three files. If I click on Resource Container > Create, I wind up with a message that says:

    Packed Picture Files: 0
    Packed script files: 0
    Packed ir files: 0

And in the folder gets created a 1kb nkr file, a 1kb nkc file, and a Data and Resources folder, which are both empty. I tried this with the graphics files and wpaper in their default folder, in the NI fodler. Then I tried moving them to the folder where I am attempting to create the nkr file, thinking that Kontakt needs to see those files in that dir. Then I tried creating another nkr, leaving the previously create
Data and Resources folders, and putting the graphics files and wpaper in there. Nothing seems to work.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong here?

    Thanks in advance.

Nothing wrong. When you create the Resources folder, put your IRs, graphics, scripts inside the designated subfolders, then repeat the procedure by going into Instrument Options and OVERWRITING the NKR you've just created. Things will get packed in the NKR. That's how you update it when you change graphics or scripts etc. You're not supposed to create a differently named NKR every time you add new graphics, you're supposed to overwrite the one that's there.

AAHHHHH - you know, it would be nice if the manual said that. :S

Ok, that helped, but I am still missing something. I put my wallpaper, custom fader and associaed .txt file in the Resources\pictures folder. Now when I create the nkr overwriting the old, I get:

    Packed Picture Files: 1
    Packed script files: 0
    Packed ir files: 0
Could not pack 1 file! (Maybe missing property .txt file)

But I am sure that the correct .txt file is there. I considered putting those in another folder, but I; cant imagine that they would go in ir_samples or scripts. I did try the data folder, but that didnt work. Do I put them somewhere else?

    Thanks! :)

Both fader AND the wallpaper need to have a .txt file. Each and every image in "pictures" folder must have an associated .txt file. This is mentioned in the manual.

Note that the wallpapers also need a txt file or they will be ignored.

Yep - it does say that. I got so frustrated with the way the manual is written - I didnt get that far. Thanks man!

You cannot create the NKR file without the resources folder. That must exist.
