TagScanner is BAD A** Much Thanks! I'll stick w/ dbpoweramp for now for batching since I'm familiar w/ it but for Art and filling in the gaps this app is sick!

I'll have to play around w/ it some more...

    Thanks Again,
    Ecccentric.

Pakman, What were your thoughts on Tag&Rename vs TAGSCANNER?
    Have you tried this yet?

Curious if you are sticking w/ Tag&Rename over TAGSCANNER?

(Debating on trying out Tag&Rename.... Liking Tagscanner so far....)

    Thanks,
    Eccentric

What exactly IS the 'Flac bug'? This has been a great thread, I've learned some important things here!
As far as I see it, it's Flac all the way.

What exactly is the FLAC bug?

I only use FLAC files. I tested Traktor 2 and it worked perfectly... so can anyone tell me what this FLAC bug is? Because I get the feeling that it just doesn't exist!

    Hi d.jayme,

    Welcome to the forum.

The bug is only a problem if the audio starts to close to the beginning of the file. Traktor would always start about 20ms into the file so you could often miss the 1st beat if it was right at the beginning. Otherwise there is no problem.

I've just checked on my TSP2 and the bug indeed seems to have been sorted out.

If I Rip From my Audio CD
    MP3 128k & 320k I think Sound Quality Not Diffrence
Wav File Is not necessary in Traktor..Wav is too Big and Increase System Hardisk Load..I think Traktor not design to drive a Wav format may be Traktor Design to work with MP3 file ... and also when we djing....FX..Eq filter and we trying to tweaking every thing that avaliable....Original waveform not in case

Great info. I just got done converting my CDs to 320k per iTunes. Should I be ok? Traktor duo and pro. Versions 1.

There's a significant difference in the sound quality between the 320 MP3 and FLAC/WAV as I hear it. FLAC is full of detail and dynamics and brings much more pleasure.

What are the size differences between FLAC and WAV? That's the one thing that does my head in about WAVs is their file size.

it's about 50% of the size of the wav +/-5%

flacs also have better better id3 tagging and meta data support. the wav format is very limited.

if only beatport could have flac ... I hate them for the lack of it. And i even hate them more for changing an extra € for the WAV format (ending to FLAC anyway)... what do we pay for actually, the net pipes? really?

That's why I moved over to www.junodownload.com. I usually buy WAVs and convert them to FLAC. Extra charge for WAVs there too but not as pricey as beatport...

Last time I checked there was an option to download your wavs as Flac in Juno.

Yes exactly! You can choose this option right before you download your purchased tracks.
But I prefer to convert the tracks by myself with DBPoweramp which is my favourite tool.
