Often times when I save presets + samples on Battery 3, I get a few samples that won't load next time I open the same preset. When I check the folder where the WAV samples are saved those particular samples read "Zero KB"...and they need to be replaced...This happens all the time for some reason. Is anyone having this similar issue?

Also, often times when I try to save the preset + samples...the program just crashes to desktop. Usally after this, several samples get corrupt...

Have you run CHKDSK on your machine lately? That's a good place to start if you're having odd problems with files in general.

I haven't seen this happen, and since 67 other people viewed this post and didn't offer anything, I imagine they haven't seen it, either.

If you're not familiar with running CHKDSK/ScanDisk, let me know which version of Windows you have, and I'll give you the steps.

One thing that I did realize is that when I close the preset...and then open it again when the session starts...then it seems to have less problems....

Also, I have the samples located on the desktop folder...When I move them into the actual user preset sample folder within the Battery folder, it seems to have less problems...

Overall, it's still very weird that a perfectly good WAV file just goes corrupt for no apparent reason...

Are you running this as a standalone or plug-in? Do you have the latest updates?

And is there a reason you don't have the samples where they're "supposed" to be? (Yes, you can put them wherever you want, but life's generally much easier if you go with the defaults unless you have a good reason not to.)

I'm running it as a plugin in DP7 and all softwares are updated to the most current versions.

"DP7"...is that Digital Performer 7...for the Mac?

I guess that's why you didn't comment on my CHKDSK suggestions--you don't have that on the Mac. You do have a way to reset permissions and attributes, and I've seen that fix a lot of screwy file issues, too. You should consider running those tools. (Actually, the Mac has some decent third-party utilities that help clean out some of the underlying UNIX junk and clean up file problems. You probably already have at least one of them, though.)

That said, all I can offer is to make sure you're up to the latest version of OS X and DP 7.2 (which your latest post implied that you are).

Since this is a Mac issue, you might want to note that in the thread title, and maybe add something to your signature to let everyone know what you have. Also, if Battery 3 is taking DP down when it crashes too, you might want to note that. (In your first post, you said "the program crashes to the desktop", but in this post, you mention you're using it as a plug-in in DP7.) It shouldn't take DP7 down, but if it does, motunation.com might have some ideas as to why DP7 is crashing, too.

    Good luck!
