    Hey guys,

When i drop a sample into the wave editor and create a loop to make an instrument out of the sample i drop in, like create a pad. Is there a way to make the loop point less obvious?

Obviously when making pads you want everything to sound as smooth as possible so the point at which the sample repeats itself can do so with very different wave points, i use the X-fade and try and get both start and end point on a zero crossing but its not perfect.

Any advice would be great :)

    Thanks

This heavily depends on the sample. Some are harder to get right, some are not. All you can do is experiment with loop start/end points and xfade.

yeah I agree with EvilDragon. use your ears... adjust the loop points.

if all you need is a single loop:
you might even consider placing the audio right on the track of your DAW setting the loop around it to make sure it is seemless and arranging out that way - rather than 'playing the pads'

if you've got a bunch of different loops you want to arrange together on the fly with midi, setting up the instrument will be worth it...

remember you don't have to slice in kontakt... you can always load in wavs that have been carefully edited elsewhere
