    NI could just make a snapshot of the analysed waveform and display it in a particular place it doesnt have to be a hight res!

    Exactly this! I don't need massive detail, just a super quick reference before I load a track. I can easily see if a track has a long intro, extended break and, with RGB waveforms, a pretty good idea of the overall structure right off the bat and all from what could conceivably be a simple image file generated upon the original analysis
