    Hey all,

I was wondering if we could maybe discuss workflow, specifically the ways people have integrated Maschine and Live. This would simply be to give each other an idea of the many possibilities and maybe alert a few of us to more efficient or intuitive ways of working. Yeah? I got to thinking about this because of the new feature in 1.5 'Record Events directly into DAW', which might be great for me, or might just be too much of a difference from the current way I work at this point to bother with. But I'm really interested in how others are working with the two. For my part, it's pretty simple, I like to make a bunch of tracks and then just record live jam sessions, so I simply:

    Use the Maschine plug in
Assign each Group its own individual external audio output
Make Audio Tracks for these in Live, plus whatever other tracks/instruments I make in Live
Then simultaneously record the Maschine audio in Live, plus Live Clips, from Session view
I use a LividOhm64 to control it all.

This means I rarely use Scenes in Maschine. Groups of different drum patterns seem to be plenty. But, it's kind of annoying having to always switch back to Maschine to see what's going on with/edit my drum patterns (which is why I might be excited about directly recording them...), but for now I can live with it.

Anyone else care to share their working habits?

    Cheers,

    viman
