To work with a reliable, stable Traktor running system, you have to turn off wireless LAN, Bluetooth and so on.
So how do you want connect an iPhone or iPad to remote Traktor?

Same here (minus the iPad part), and I'm on what would be considered a slightly underpowered laptop running Windows XP, I just boot up and go. Traktor never crashes or drops out.

I can see the day the the term DJ has become such a joke that retards with iPhones and a few bucks can claim to be DJs because they can mix in a touch based arena using all the Shiny tools Traktor has to make them the next Hawtin with no real skill to speak of. only Drunks on a Dance floor and an iPhone.

Presently I'm glad all we have is TouchOSC, and am not anxious to walk into a booth without decks or a mixer, only a headphone line.

    Merry christmas

It's a shame you disc jockeys aka DJ's don't move along with the times or the tech and you stay in the past as I once did many many years ago. I cut my teeth with vinyl back in the late 80,s but times change. But you must still be recording to cassette tape and watching films on Betamax. Don't dis the tech you so called disc jockey. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all the disc jockeys out there. ;)

Can see how touchOSC (which you can already use with Traktor) or apps such as this could be useful for X/Y pads, FX etc, or as an additional control, or as an emergency backup.

However, the actual ergonomics of using an iPhone to deejay with properly for any sustained amount of time is ridiculous.

I'm not talking about using an iPhone as a controller I use an iPad as a controller like I also use my vci 100. The iPad can be as good as any controller out there and I know some people prefer knobs and real faders but I can use both and do like to mix it up some times. No pun intended.

To any one who is reading this thread. It's Christmas eve and I have had a bit to drink so please take any reply with a pinch of salt. And Let's all be happy and enjoy the coming year. :) all disc jockeys united.
    ---
Just a quick note to all us super star dj's out there let's please remember that we only play records which is music created by real musicians to a crowd of people so let's not forget our place. We are disc jockeys ;)
    ---
And also all I was asking for was another way to control a sound output as decks do and traktor does. The only difference decks have over traktor is the sound output as it is digital and if you only ever hear digital in a club you will never tell the difference. Analog will always sound better as our brains and ears are analog and digital has to try to emulate the sound of analog. I have to stop now as I could go on forever about the pros and cons of digital vs vinyl but all I know is things move on and so should we.

Dumb Ass, did you see my Sig line, I use a Handfull of controllers. i just think it's going to far. if we keep progressing on this path very shortly we will be simply Over glorified Crossfaders again.

For sure, as effect triggers or Overly complicated and overly expressive Kaos pads and such for sure.

however what I am beefing is that people are not far off from running full sets from their iDevice.

    just seems like cheating.

    dunno, I'm drunk, Merry Christmas;)

I always leave my wireless on. To be honest I use it to broadcast my shows over the internet:D
